This is a reconstruction and enlargement of an existing building in Gabrvo mountain. This existing building once was the school of the village and it looked more as a town house than a traditional Bulgarian village house. Such a style transition from the city to the mountain is not typical for the region. The house is preserved to the highest degree and a new volume is added. In the contrast with the traditional style, a contemporary approach is used. An accent in the new s is a categorical element – new box at the second level over the entrance. It is a sitting place with a great view to the mountain.
