Penka Stantcheva

is the leading architect of POST SCRIPTUM Ltd. After graduating architecture in the High Institute of Architecture and Building in 1995 in Sofia, she specializes in Bordeaux – France and Venice – Italy. She begins her own practice right after her graduation. She designs buildings and interiors. For three years is editor in chief of Home Style – an issue for interior and design, part of Capital newspaper. In 2010 creates a collection of design furniture for the Bulgarian furniture factory MEBELOR Ltd, which are presented at Imm Cologne – there they are added to the press selection of the fair. The last realized project is for interior and garden of one of the landmark buildings in Sofia, known as “The house of Yablansky”. Among her many awards we can mark a few:

–       in 2002 wins “HOUSE OF THE YEAR” award of Idealen Dom magazine,

–       in competition organized by “Building and estates” newspaper - BUILDER OF THE YEAR - first place for “ARIMEX” Ltd in category Residential Buildings for a building designed by Post Scriptum Ltd,

–       in 2007 wins second prize of the audience for public interior in the contest  INTERIOR OF THE YEAR of Nash Dom magazine.

–       in 2008 receives BAUMIT SPECIAL PRIZE for long term partnership,

–       in 2010 her project wins third place of the jury and first prize of the public in HOUSE OF THE YEAR Contest of Nash Dom magazine.

 

For three years she supervises the Bulgarian branch of the international program RADAR for exchange of young authors, working in the field of art and new visions (installations, photography, etc) which is part of the European program CULTURE 2000. As a result six Bulgarians took part in the Biennale in Venice in 2003.

She always works intensive but afterwards rests intensive – in nature, sporting or discovering exotic places. For her greatest achievement she considers the fact that she succeeds to be surrounded with young, talented and sincere people, who love their job and want to advance. That exactly is the team which supports her in the realization of her ideas.
